[center]A Dictionary of Intermediate Japanese Grammar by Seiichi Makino and Michio Tsutsui

Recommended for Upper Beginner and Intermediate students.

The only other difference between the two books (beside content) is the use of furigana over kanji instead of romaji. This is a very good thing for any student of Japanese. This book takes important grammatical points and lists them in easy to find alphabetical order. The explanations and examples are superb. It covers each grammatical point's various meanings in a clear-cut and orderly way. Great for reference as well as for going straight through. From the back cover: A DICTIONARY OF INTERMEDIATE JAPANESE GRAMMAR The long-awaited follow-up to the bestselling Japanese language book, A Dictionary of Basic Japanese Grammar. In order to advance beyond beginning-level Japanese, students must develop facility in handling a variety of language issues both in written and in spoken Japanese, e.g., knowledge of complex sentence structures for reading authentic texts, mastery of confunctions and transitional phrases for coherent sentence production, familiarity with nuances among related expressions for conveying ideas accurately, and other information. The entries in this volume address just such concerns. Arranged in dictionary form, with an abundance of example sentences. A Dictionary of Intermediate Japanese Grammar goes beyond the basics to provide students with information which is essential to the mastery of intermediate-level Japanese. Contents - Topics for Intermediate Japanese - This section explains aspects of grammar which are necessary and useful for intermediate-level studies, including inter-sentential reference, tense and formality switching, strategies for conversation, and tips on how to properly interpret complex sentences. -Main Entries - Drawing from intermediate-level textbooks and other teaching materials, the authors have identified 200 grammatical items to be included here. Each entry contains a detailed, easy-to-understand explanation which provides not only the basic information on that entry, including sentence formation, meaning, and usage, but also such aspects as the subtle differences between similar expressions - in other words, information that regular textbooks do not provide. - Appendices - This sections contains additional invaluable information, such as lists of expressions arranged according to function; rules for deciperhing katakana loan words; and charts of compound verbs, compound particles, conjunctins, and affixes.

YUI

Seorang
Album pertamanya, From Me To You dirilis 22 Februari 2006, terdiri dari 13 lagu dan 9 lagu di antaranya belum pernah dirilis sebelumnya.

Biografi

Lagu yang dibawakannya waktu itu sebanyak 3 buah lagu, “Why me”, “It’s happy line”, dan “I know”. Finalis hanya boleh membawakan 2 buah lagu menurut peraturan audisi, tapi juri memberikan nilai yang sangat tinggi bagi Yui. Setelah itu, berbagai perusahaan rekaman menjadi saling berebut untuk mengontraknya. Lagu pertama yang dinyanyikan, “Why Me” nantinya dijadikan single perdana, diikuti dengan “It’s Happy Line” dan “I Know”. Keduanya diterbitkan sebagai singel indie debutnya, “It’s Happy Line” dengan lagu “I Know” di sisi B.

Sebagai penghargaan kepada kampung halamannya, Yui menulis lagu “Feel My Soul” ketika meninggalkan kampung halamannya, Fukuoka. Seorang produser dari stasiun televisi Fuji TV mendengar video klip demo lagu tersebut, dan bermaksud menjadikannya sebagai lagu tema serial drama di Fuji TV. Debut singel Yui, “Feel My Soul” yang dirilis 23 Februari 2006 dijadikan lagu tema serial drama Fukigen na Gene. Serial drama tersebut dihiasi lagu-lagu Yui, seperti “Feel My Soul” dan “It’s Happy Line”. Singel “Feel My Soul” laku di atas 100 ribu keping, namun 3 singel berikutnya, “Tomorrow’s Way”, “Life”, dan “Tokyo” ternyata tidak sesukses “Feel My Soul”. Setelah merilis 4 buah singel, album pertama Yui yang berjudul From Me To You dirilis bulan Februari 2006 dan laku di atas 200 ribu keeping (wew,).

Sementara itu, Yui memulai karier akting dengan membintangi film berjudul Midnight Sun (Taiyou no Uta) <—- ada nama aku!! *dijitak semua*. Film tersebut diputar di Festival Film Cannes 2006 dan dirilis di Jepang pada 17 Juni 2006. Singel ke-5, “Good-bye Days” khusus ditulisnya untuk film Midnight Sun. Kepopuleran singel Yui yang sebelumnya kembali terangkat setelah singel ke-6, “I Remember You” diedarkan.
